Introduction to group

Our group consists of two member's Me- Ashley Stump and Freya Catmur-hill. We are both 16 nearly 17 and would both like to have careers in the media/film industry. We both love watching films- especially romantic/ dramatic films, which is why we chose to base our film on romance and drama.

Discussion of decisions and revisions made in editing

During editing, we had to make decisions based on the shots we keep to go in our opening and the shots we delete. It was crucial taht we made the right decision becuse once a shot is deleted, we could not retreive it as we were using IMovie to edit our opening sequence. We also had to make decisions on which effects we were going to use throughout especially at the start and end of our flashback.

Throughout editing we would apply an effect and then watch it over again to mkae sure that it looked right and that it fitted in to that shot. We made changes on sound and effects until we thought it was 100 percent right.

Changes

We had to make a big change within our coursework because one of the actors we were using was taken ill so we had to change the plot slightly. The original plot was that the main character Lucy, loses her husband Charlie, but we had to change it to her losing her sister. Ashley is now playing Lucy's sister, as well as being the director and Freya does the main camerawork and also acts as the director, so we both have a part in the filming. At this point, we have filmed the first part of our opening sequences as we have had a lot of interruptions which have caused us to fall behind schedule. We are currently editing our first bit of filming and will soon be moving on to the second part of the filming.

We filmed most of footage but when we uploaded it onto the computer so we could edit it, the lighting was very dark and we could not use this. We also had a bit of trouble at the beginning of the with our group as we split off into a different group which has made us rushed for time. We are planning to film all of our footage this weekend so we will be ready to edit next week and will have out opening sequence done for the dealine.
